The Homeowner Assistance Fund (HAF), established under the American Rescue Plan Act, allocates $9.961 billion to help homeowners impacted by financial hardships due to COVID-19. These funds were distributed to states, U.S. territories, and Indian Tribes. HAF can be used to assist with mortgage payments, homeowner’s insurance, utility bills, and other approved expenses.
